My Story

The hardest thing about comics, is finding good clean ones. Now days, comics are filled with violence, demonic, and unclean things. And I have lost count of how many times I spent all my money on comics, only to be disappointed at what garbage I had bought.

I'm not saying that there's no good comics out there. There are lots of good comics that I found, and that I still read to this day. But they are limited, and there are new comics coming out all the time, but they keep getting worse.

It bugs me to see people reading a comic, and saying oh it's just a comic, but it's filled with stuff that you don't stand for as a Christian. Yet they read it anyway, because it's just a comic right? I want to offer people good comics, not the kind that teach you what the world thinks.

How I Started Drawing

I never thought that I could make comics, I always had the idea, but I couldn't even draw stick figures that looked good, never mind comics.

But the one day my dad brought me the best book on cartooning I have ever found, it made it look so easy, and for the first time I felt I could draw. The guy who wrote the book said that he couldn't draw cartoons either, but he pushed through and learned a simple way to do it. I thought, I can do that too, I have the Lord's help I can do anything! So I pushed through, and began to experiment with drawing, and I found I could make people laugh. 

My family said I was good at it, and they suggested I start a comic. So I began to develop this talent. It took a while, and a lot of drawing, but eventually I started my own comic strip, and I started to send out comics to people. I know that they are simple and sometimes childish, but even Jesus Himself said that we should be as a child.

I beleive the Lord helped me to develop this, because I was not good at drawing, I always liked it, but it never came easy. I now draw as a hobby among some of my other work.

 

 

I Want to Offer You Good fun Comics

My goal is to give good clean fun comics for Christians, and even for everyone else. I want to do fun comics that are simple, make you laugh, and if possible teach you something about God.

And that's what my comic is about. It's called "Abe".

When i started out I really did not know what Abe was about, in a way it is simply jokes about the things that I have seen in life, Abe is very much like me, only a bit more emotive. It is about a simple young Christian on fire for the Lord. How he and his friends handle daily life as Christians. And how sometimes, God has a sense of humor.

The other comic strip I have is called Bible Laughs, and it is simply taking the stroies in the Bible and trying to find a funny side to it. Mostly stuff that did not happen and was not even possible, but a funny take on what really happened. I have a seperate mailing list for these.

I am also working on some other ideas, such as a comic about 2 guys going into business, but those are still a work in progress.

If you want to get my comics, there are a couple different ways you can get them.

1. You can go to Get Free Publications on the right side of the page, just give your email address, click subscribe and you will be taken to a list of mailing lists from all the GBMI websites which i'm a part of, just find Jays Cartooning and click subscribe to one of the mailing lists.

2. All I need is your email address, and you will be subscribed to my mailing list, then you will start receiving my comics. Just note that you will receive comics from the beginning in other words they will be old comics not the latest, you will eventually work your way up to the latest over time.
